Hurricane Preparation and Tips
Hurricane Preparation and Tips

September 7, 2017

We will be closed Monday 9/2- Wednesday 9/4 due to Hurricane Dorian(subject to change depending on weather conditions).

Our priority is the safety of our employees and customers. We urge you and your family to stay safe during this time!

Sustained winds of 20 mph or higher, plus moderate to heavy rain, along with road and bridge closures will prohibit us from providing services. Emergency services will be available when weather conditions allow. We are preparing to be back in full operation as soon possible after the worst of the storm subsides, and roads and bridges are open.

Hurricane Safety Tips for Your AC System

If power surges and outages persist in your area, it is better to shut off your air conditioning system or turn off the breaker until consistent power is restored. This will help prevent damage to your system, allowing for cooling when power is restored.

If flood water gets into your outdoor unit, turn it OFF. Running your system while it is flooded will damage the unit.

If you suspect your system has been flooded, call the experts at Ocean State Air Conditioning and Heating at (904) 574-5619 and a trained technician will come out to evaluate it.

We thank you for your patience, and please stay safe!

Sincerely,

Glenn Jones
